Walter DoylePresident & CEO
Walt's passion for emerging technology has kept him on the leading edge of consumer media and technology for over 15 years. Prior to joining uLocate in 2005, Walt was a GM of MapQuest (TWX). His career began in Hong Kong with Dow Jones (DJ), then spanned executive level appointments with GameSpot (CNET), Net2Phone (IDT), and DialPad (YHOO). Walt's ability to identify emerging technology trends, create corporate strategy, and build winning teams puts him squarely at the helm of uLocate. Walt left San Francisco for his native home of Boston in 2005 where he and his family are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy fishing, biking, hockey, and travel. He is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jerry King
Executive Vice President, Operations
Jerry has a long history of bringing new software products and services to market. Jerry comes to uLocate from Intelligent Spatial Technologies, a start-up mobile application firm with patents in location-based search. Prior to that, Jerry was GM of XML Products for Progress Software. Early software development roles with firms like Citibank and Goldman Sachs eventually lead him to Sybase and then into the Internet game as part of the executive team and board of directors for C-bridge Internet Systems (CBIS). Jerry spends whatever free time he has in Maine with his family and lives to hike and ski. He graduated with a BA from Tufts University and a MS from Bentley College.
Ron Braunfeld
Vice President, Business Development
Ron brings over 15 years experience in sales and business development to uLocate. Ron joined the team from MapQuest. At MapQuest he was Director of Business Development and played an instrumental role in the company's dramatic growth. During his tenure at MapQuest, Ron (and his team) was responsible for over 20 Million in new revenue opportunities in the online, wireless, print, and software businesses. Prior to MapQuest, Ron served as Strategic Account Executive for eCal Corporation - bringing in new accounts like AT&T, CBS, Switchboard, ZDNet, Net2Phone, Disney. Prior to uLocate, Ron was active in inner city Philadelphia - successfully operating one of the first for-profit graffiti removal businesses in the nation. Ron has a BA from the University of New Hampshire and a MA from Temple University. Ron resides in Philadelphia area with his wife and 3 children.
Dan Gilmartin
Vice President, Marketing
Dan joins uLocate from a successful stint as a carrier marketing consultant. Previously, Dan managed consumer location based-services for Sprint Nextel. In this role, he was responsible for the launch of the first family finding product in the wireless industry Sprint Family Locator, local search, and a host of other GPS enabled services. Prior to Sprint Nextel, Dan led product initiatives for VeriSign, a company he joined through a series of acquisitions including Network Solutions who acquired a start-up he helped launch, ImageCafe. Dan received his bachelor's degree from Villanova University. When not working, Dan loves to spend time with his family, root for the New York Yankees and fly-fish.
Ivan Mitrovic
Vice President, Technology
Ivan has been at the forefront of the LBS application development since he built and launched KMaps, a mobile LBS platform for Smartphones. Ivan also brings a wide range software development experience to uLocate including implementation of enterprise-grade applications for Bank of America, Fleet, ABN AMRO, Nova Scotia Bank, CIBC and Sovereign Bank. A native of Montenegro, Ivan lived and worked in Belgium and Holland before making his home in Boston.
Frank Schroth
Vice President, Partner Services & Co-founder
Frank co-founded uLocate and has been delighting customers every since. Previously, as Vice President and General Manager of eLogic, a subsidiary of Reed Business Information, Frank managed RBI's 30+ web sites and established their webcasting service. Prior to RBI, Frank held numerous executive positions at ZDNet and was responsible for building ZD's online businesses and building pioneering technologies for content management and delivery. Prior to that, as a co-founder of Technology Training Associates, he managed clients including IBM, Lotus Development Corp., Addison-Wesley Publishing, Houghton Mifflin, and John Wiley & Sons. Schroth received a BA from Fairfield University and a MA from Lesley College.
