uLocate Communications is an applied technology firm developing location based services that expand and extend the emerging capability of mobile carriers and cell phones to determine a users location. We develop solutions in support of enterprise clients in need of adding a spatial dimension to market data as well as secure web-based solutions for small businesses and consumers.

Alan Phillips

Mr. Phillips is a proven entrepreneur with over twenty years in applied technology. Most recently, Phillips was Executive in Residence at GrandBanks Capital, a Softbank Affiliate. His previous experience includes 6 years at ZDNet as EVP/CIO where he managed technology and infrastructure and was instrumental in the sale of ZDNet to CNet. After the acquisition, he served as President of CNET's Market Intelligence division. Prior to joining ZDNet, Mr. Phillips built Instant Information, one of the nation's largest service bureaus for the integration of voice and fax whose clients included Dow Jones & Company, Business Week, Federal Express, Consumer Reports, and Lawyers Weekly. Instant Information, Inc. was sold in 1995. He serves on several Boards and is an advisor to numerous early-stage ventures. Mr. Phillips received a BA from Vassar College in Quantitative Economics.

Frank Schroth

Mr. Schroth is an innovative operations executive with a proven track record of taking initiatives from start up through maturity. As Vice President and General Manager of eLogic, the web publishing subsidiary of Reed Business Information, he managed the re-building of RBI's 30+ web sites, established their webcasting service, and secured new external business. Previous to RBI, Schroth held numerous executive positions at ZDNet. From 1992 - 2000, he made critical contributions to building ZD's online businesses, acquiring and integrating technologies and developing inventive methods for improving content management and delivery. Prior to ZD, Mr. Schroth was a co-founder of Technology Training Associates, an educational software and training development firm. He directed product development in support of clients that included IBM, Lotus Development Corp., Addison-Wesley Publishing, Houghton Mifflin, and John Wiley & Sons. Mr. Schroth received a BA from Fairfield University and a MA from Lesley College.

Geoff Palmer

Mr. Palmer is a serial entrepreneur with twenty years experience in operations management, marketing, technology product design, and development in emerging companies, mid-sized businesses and large corporate environments. Most recently Palmer was President of InfoCater, one of the leading Tablet Computer consultants and resellers. Previously, Palmer co-founded and was the CEO of Nurse.Com, which was sold to Tenet HealthCare in 2002. Palmer was Vice President of Marketing at Simplex Time Recorder Company from 1997 to 2000 following the sale of Information Marketing Businesses, a company he co-founded in 1983, to Simplex in 1997. Palmer received a BSBA from Boston University with a major in Management Information Systems.
